If you want to install it yourself in 10 minutes using your existing bumper holes, choose Classic. If you want a completely flush, hole-free appearance and are willing to visit a partner shop for installation, choose Stealth.
Yes. The Classic system is designed for universal compatibility. It supports M6 bolts (standard for Asian vehicles) and M5 bolts (standard for European vehicles). The mounting hardware is adaptable to match your vehicle's specific requirements perfectly.
Yes—both systems are "plate agnostic." Because our mounts are frameless, they sit invisibly behind the plate. Whether you run a standard issue, a slim JDM plate, or a custom acrylic size, the mount adapts to you, not the other way around.
We engineered both systems for the driven. Utilizing high-grade Neodymium magnets paired with our directional locking design, the plate remains static even at high speeds. We have tested this extensively, so you can drive with confidence.
Never. HOOK8LOOP is designed to eliminate the metal-on-paint vibration common with traditional frames. The Classic mounts use rubberized standoffs, while the Stealth mounts are flush-bonded. The result is silence and zero abrasion.

03. INSTALLATION & USABILITY

Installation is designed to be simple and intuitive. Here is the step-by-step process:

  1. Secure the Base: Install the provided bolts and washers into your vehicle's license plate holes.
  2. Lock the Mounts: Place the magnetic mounts over the bolt heads and slide them down to secure them in position.
  3. Prepare the Adhesive: Peel the protective backing off the 3M AFT tape on the mounts.
  4. Level the Surface (Crucial): Cut and apply the provided "filler tape" into the hollow backings of your license plate's embossed numbers or letters. This ensures the mount has a perfectly flat surface to which it can bond.
  5. Bond the Plate: Ensure the back of your license plate is 100% clean and dry. Align the plate to your desired position and press it firmly onto the mounts to bond.
  6. Final Touch: Apply the foam pads to the bottom rear of the license plate to dampen any vibration or contact with the car body.
  7. Allow to Cure: While the hold is instant, the 3M VHB adhesive reaches maximum strength over time. We recommend letting the bond cure for 24 hours before washing the car or driving at high speeds.

Our mounts are designed with a compact footprint to sit on the flattest part of your bumper. For highly curved front bumpers (e.g., Porsche 911, Tesla), we recommend test-fitting the position to ensure the mount has full contact with the surface before peeling the adhesive.
No. The Stealth system relies on a precision-bonded interface behind the bumper cover or on the surface using specialized adhesives and curing processes. To ensure warranty and safety, it must be installed by a certified installer.
For the perfect detail. The primary benefit of HOOK8LOOP is the ability to remove your plate in under 2 seconds. This allows you (or your detailer) to wash and dry the area behind the plate—a spot that usually traps dirt and water spots.
While technically possible, we do not recommend it. The removal process involves separating a permanent industrial bond, which poses a high risk of warping or damaging the mount's structure. To ensure the absolute safety and precision fitment that HOOK8LOOP stands for, we strongly advise installing a fresh set on your new vehicle.
